Meet The Team
Sue Clavette, APRN, BC
Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Your journey to improved mental and emotional wellness begins here. For over 35 years, Sue has been helping patients find wellness and healing through some of life’s most difficult seasons. Sue has developed a unique approach that begins with psychiatric assistance. Sue then introduces a combination of traditional and proven, effective complementary and alternative treatments. This experience is the platform for a unique treatment approach.
Sue’s professional path grew from her academic training which includes both a bachelor’s and Advanced Master’s Degree in Nursing from UMKC. Sue currently serves as a UMKC adjunct clinical faculty member. In addition to Board-Certification as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, she has experience and certification in Aromatherapy, Healing Touch, Feng Shui, and other holistic and complementary therapies. Sue also consults with various other modalities, such as Functional Medicine. Since the best approach to wellness involves treating both mind and body, your path to recovery can include collaboration with other healthcare team members team, whether this is your Primary Care Provider, therapist, or family members.
You are not a machine; your mind and body cannot be treated like one. Call today to begin your EMPOWERED path toward recovery.

Deb Baker, MS, SEP, ORDM
Practitioner of Somatic Experiencing®
One of the things that Deb loves most about Somatic Experiencing® (SE®) is the body-based framework it offers for profound healing-for natural rebalancing of the nervous system, mind, and body. The modality invites such a potent and embodied curiosity regarding stories of trauma and chronic stress . . . as well as capacity and reconnection. As a practitioner of SE®, Deb shows up with curious and empathic support, endeavoring to provide a safe space for each patient’s journey toward greater ease and resilience.
Deb is an avid advocate for the inherent healing potential of the human body and spirit.
Deb has been working in the healthcare profession for more than 20 years. Her professional training includes a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology, focusing on neurological, developmental, and other medical conditions (experience with complex pediatric and adult populations). Deb loves assisting and soaking up learning from teachers, other practitioners, and participants in the SE® training field.

Patti Cole
Yoga Instructor
Patti began her yoga training in 2008, after her retirement as a runner. She completed two 200-hour yoga certifications and began teaching yoga classes after receiving her certification. Patti feels that transitioning from running to yoga has taught her to slow down and be kinder to her body.
When Patti is not EMPOWERING patients and staff in her yoga classes, she enjoys playing tennis, teaching swimming and lifeguarding, bicycling, and snow skiing. Her grandchildren bring her the greatest joy in her life.
