Meet The Team

Sue Clavette, APRN, BC

Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Your journey to improved mental and emotional wellness begins here. For over 35 years, Sue has been helping patients find wellness and healing through some of life’s most difficult seasons. Sue has developed a unique approach that begins with psychiatric assistance. Sue then introduces a combination of traditional and proven, effective complementary and alternative treatments. This experience is the platform for a unique treatment approach.

Sue’s professional path grew from her academic training which includes both a bachelor’s and Advanced Master’s Degree in Nursing from UMKC. Sue currently serves as a UMKC adjunct clinical faculty member. In addition to Board-Certification as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, she has experience and certification in Aromatherapy, Healing Touch, Feng Shui, and other holistic and complementary therapies. Sue also consults with various other modalities, such as Functional Medicine. Since the best approach to wellness involves treating both mind and body, your path to recovery can include collaboration with other healthcare team members team, whether this is your Primary Care Provider, therapist, or family members.

You are not a machine; your mind and body cannot be treated like one. Call today to begin your EMPOWERED path toward recovery.

When Sue is not EMPOWERING others, she enjoys going to Royal’s games and concerts and supporting her daughter’s college tennis team.

Deb Baker, MS, SEP, ORDM

Practitioner of Somatic Experiencing®

One of the things that Deb loves most about Somatic Experiencing® (SE®) is the body-based framework it offers for profound healing-for natural rebalancing of the nervous system, mind, and body. The modality invites such a potent and embodied curiosity regarding stories of trauma and chronic stress . . . as well as capacity and reconnection. As a practitioner of SE®, Deb shows up with curious and empathic support, endeavoring to provide a safe space for each patient’s journey toward greater ease and resilience.

Deb is an avid advocate for the inherent healing potential of the human body and spirit.

Deb has been working in the healthcare profession for more than 20 years. Her professional training includes a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology, focusing on neurological, developmental, and other medical conditions (experience with complex pediatric and adult populations). Deb loves assisting and soaking up learning from teachers, other practitioners, and participants in the SE® training field.

Quan Tracy Cherry, JD

Astrological Counselor, Intuitive, Mediator

Quan became a lawyer to practice astrology. Quan was trained in left-hemisphere studies in business and law and now bridges this left-hemisphere training with right-hemisphere approaches through astrology and intuition. Quan uses both brain hemispheres to integrate spiritual law and practical experience through historical referencing and observation (astrology) with intuitive awareness. Astrology is both a science and an art; the scientific status of astrology comes from the need for mathematics and an understanding of astronomy. However, it is also artistic because interpretation is necessary to bring aspects together and formulate ideas and outcomes.

At the tender age of ten, Quan wanted to become a meteorologist. He feels he accomplished this goal by becoming an astrologer, a “sort-of” cosmic weatherman. Quan’s academic path took several detours, starting with a financial and accounting degree, which led him to a law degree from the University of Iowa. By his second year of law school, he realized that his true passion was astrology, and he has been committed to this art since then.

Quan has been an astrologer for the last 28 years, and he has left his mark on Kansas City with his astrology column in the Pitch and his multiple radio and television appearances. Quan also holds a certification in the Venus Star Point.

Quan’s passions include cooking, writing, and yoga. He is the proud father of an adult son who works as a sports producer.

Patti Cole

Yoga Instructor

Patti began her yoga training in 2008, after her retirement as a runner. She completed two 200-hour yoga certifications and began teaching yoga classes after receiving her certification. Patti feels that transitioning from running to yoga has taught her to slow down and be kinder to her body.

When Patti is not EMPOWERING patients and staff in her yoga classes, she enjoys playing tennis, teaching swimming and lifeguarding, bicycling, and snow skiing. Her grandchildren bring her the greatest joy in her life.

Catiara "Cat" Marie

Intuitive Card Reader

Catiara Marie’s calling in life is to help people find happiness and success. Catiara is a Life Coach with a different approach. She has been reading Tarot and Oracle cards and coaching clients for over 25 years. Catiara is a wife and mother of four. As a former foster kid, she comes from a difficult childhood with a very interesting life and a unique outlook.

As an Intuitive Card Reader, Cat tends to look at what the future holds so that clients may be better prepared and able to take the actions necessary to succeed. She also helps her clients gain insight into underlying issues that are preventing them from living their best lives, and in collaboration, Cat looks at what changes can be made to manifest the client’s dreams.

During an intuitive Tarot reading with Catiara, she will offer curious questions, new perspectives, and challenges, while honoring the client’s goals. She will also give you valuable information and options to EMPOWER you to make different life choices, but she’s not here to tell you what to do. If you are struggling with a difficult decision or are wondering what may lie ahead, allow Cat’s intuitive Tarot card reading to help.
